AJ Styles will put the WWE Championship on the line once more against Shinsuke Nakamura at Backlash this Sunday in what has been an exciting feud between two of the best performing superstars in the company today. However, Stone Cold Steve Austin has a major issue with the way their feud is being booked.

Backlash this weekend will be the third time in just over a month that The Phenomenal One has defended the WWE title against The King of Strong Style at a major event, with the other two times being WrestleMania 34 and the Greatest Royal Rumble last Friday.

At both of those events, as well as countless times on SmackDown Live since The Showcase of the Immortals, Nakamura has been living up to his new heel persona by sneak attacking Styles in the groin, which is something The Texas Rattlesnake has a problem with.

Speaking on the latest episode of The Steve Austin Show, WWE Hall of Famers Stone Cold and Jim Ross broke down WWE’s first ever Greatest Royal Rumble event, including Styles' WWE title defense against Nakamura.

Steve Austin said that he enjoyed their match in Saudi Arabia than the one they had at WrestleMania 34 and that he's also enjoying The King of Strong Style's work as a heel.

He said, according to Cageside Seats: “I thought they had a better match in Saudi Arabia at Jeddah. I really enjoyed the match. I enjoy Shinsuke much more as a heel then I do as a babyface. AJ, whether he’s heel or baby is one of the best workers in the world and I’m a huge fan. I thought that match clicked and I really liked it.”

However, Austin doesn't believe Nakamura should be low blowing Styles on a constant basis as it can start to become a bit tedious.

“On a nit picky note, I think he’s got to be...uh not be careful but not to do too many of the low blows because those start to wear a little old. I like the kick to the back of the knee, when the referee was there, some of the subtleties. I’m liking what they’re doing or what Shinsuke is able to do as a heel.”

Watching Styles and Nakamura battle it out in the middle of the ring will never get old, but in the eyes of The Texas Rattlesnake, WWE needs to adjust how they book The King of Strong Style as a heel in order to make sure fans don't get tired of it.
