Final preparations are being made prior to the giant rematch between Tony Bellew and David Haye on Saturday night at the O2 Arena.

Speaking after the final press conference in London, David Coldwell stated that the “Hayemaker” had made a significant complaint to the BBBofC going into fight night.

The complaint Haye made is actually related to something that happened before the first fight back in March of 2017.

It also involves one of Haye's long-term rivals. Dereck Chisora.

As the Brit is on Bellew's team, he was nominated to go into Haye's dressing room ahead of the fight last year to check the Hayemaker's taping on his hands and gloves.

However, due to a complaint made by Haye, that won't be allowed this year, as revealed by Coldwell after today's press conference.

“If he’s mentally so strong, and nothing that Tony can do can affect him, why has he sent a complaint to the BBBofC and made sure that Derick Chisora is not allowed to go in and watch Tony get his hands wrapped."

Del Boy was present in the corner of Bellew 14 months ago, and Coldwell is clearly irked that Haye has a personal issue with the team member and therefore doesn’t want him in his dressing room before the fight.

There is certainly no love lost between Haye and Chisora. The hatred for one another stems back to the press conference brawl referred commonly as the “Mayhem in Munich”.

A brawl broke out between the two heavyweights at a post-match press conference after Vitali Klitschko beat Chisora by competitive decision.

The pair began to exchange unpleasantries until a violent brawl broke out. Accusations later surfaced that Haye swung and broke a glass bottle on the face of Del Boy.

Various mind games are at play here, and although Haye has made it clear that he wants no part of of them, his actions regarding Chisora’s ban from his dressing room would suggest otherwise.

Haye has had two major surgeries in the past 14 months, and health issues may certainly be at the forefront of his mind.

Chisora has said in recent interviews that the past is the past and he doesn’t have a problem with Haye.

The Hayemaker clearly feels that the presence of Del Boy is a distraction to him and doesn’t want him anywhere near him prior to the clash.
