Despite not having the push it deserves, Rusev Day is one of the biggest things going in WWE right now.

It all started when WWE made the decision to pair up former United States Champion Rusev with Aiden English on SmackDown Live. The company didn't know that they were matching up what would become one of the biggest fan favorite duos in the coming months.

Together Rusev and English birthed Rusev Day, and the WWE Universe has been eating it up ever since. Chants of Rusev Day ring out at all arenas across the world, even at non-WWE events such as Ring Of Honor (ROH).

According to Rusev, every day is Rusev Day and it should be celebrated with pride. WWE crowds go nuts when The Bulgarian Brute makes his way out to the ring, but not before he's introduced by his personal singer Aiden English.

English is a former member of the Vaudevillains tag team that was forced to break up after his partner, Simon Gotch, was released from WWE. Since then, English has been on his own and has been utilizing a singing gimmick.

After being paired up with Rusev, English now sings the former United States Champion to the ring and pronounces every day Rusev Day.

Despite the popularity both men have garnered, WWE doesn't seem to be getting behind them. After a few opportunities at the SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles, Rusev and English have come up short.

Not to mention that Rusev hasn't won anything of significance in recent memory and English's in-ring accomplishments are null at the moment given how short a time he has been on the main roster as a singles competitor.

Rather than push these two as a top tag team, WWE seems to be going a completely different route. On this week's episode of SmackDown Live WWE planted the seed to break the pair up in the near future.

Lana seems to be trying to manipulate Rusev in to dropping English because he's holding him back. In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed this ongoing situation.

Meltzer said, currently, Rusev and English are considered a mid-level tag team. He also noted that there isn't a SmackDown Live Tag Team Title run in their future, because if there were they would've done it by now.

WWE seems to want to pair Lana and Rusev back together given their chemistry and history with working with one another.

It was noted Lana and Rusev work better together on a main event level, and just because Rusev and English are breaking up doesn't mean bad things for the Bulgarian.

In fact, it could mean that he is in line for a push as one of the top heels on the brand. It does, however, end one of the high points in English's career and it should be interesting to see where he goes from there.

What are your thoughts on WWE breaking up Rusev and English? Do you think this is something that they'll actually go through with? And what should WWE do with English next? Let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments section below!
