Hulk Hogan names WWE superstar as the best pro wrestler in the world right now

Premiere Of HBO's 'Andre The Giant' - Red Carpet

Not many people would dispute the claim that Hulk Hogan is one of the best superstars in the history of the WWE, so he knows what it takes in order to be one of the best in the business.

Hogan hasn't worked for the WWE since he was fired by the company in July 2015 after a controversial sex tape was released showing him making racial slurs. However, it appears he's stayed in the loop with what's happening on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live.

Speaking recently with Sports Illustrated to promote his induction into the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Alumni Hall of Fame, The Hulkster revealed which superstar in the WWE today he thinks is the best superstar in the world today.

Hogan said that WWE Champion AJ Styles is one of the best in the world as not only can he do it inside the ring, he's also a phenomenal person outside of it.

He said, according to Sports Illustrated: "AJ has turned out to be one heck of a performer, one of the best in the world. Beyond that, he's just such a good person."

Hogan also praised what The Phenomenal One does outside of the ring, stating this is where he is even more remarkable.

"What AJ does in the ring is phenomenal, and that's why we call him the 'Phenomenal One', but when he's outside the ring, he's even more phenomenal. It's so cool to see how he takes care of his family and loves his kids. If people saw him outside of when he wrestles, they'd have even more admiration for him."

There's no question about it that Styles is not only one of the best superstars in the WWE today, but he's also one of the best wrestlers in the world today. Not only is he excellent between the ropes, but his mic work is fantastic and is up there with the best in the business.

As for the future for both Hogan and Styles in the WWE, there have been reports stating that The Hulkster is close to signing a new deal with the company. However, it was only back in March that WWE released a statement saying he won't be scheduled to be at any upcoming WWE events, so these reports must be taken with a pinch of salt.

As for The Phenomenal One, he will be defending the WWE Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura for the third time in just over a month at Backlash this Sunday at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
