Friday afternoon saw David Haye and Tony Bellew share the stage for a final time ahead of tomorrow night's big clash at the O2.

Both fighters were lighter as around 10 pounds separated the British rivals at Friday’s weigh-in. Haye stepped on the scales in at 15st 10lbs 2oz, with Bellew following at 15st 4oz.

After Thursday's heated press conference, which saw Bellew push Haye during the face-off all eyes quickly turned to whether anything similar would kick off again.

Although there wasn't any pushing and shoving, the pair exchanged plenty of verbals in another fiery clash.

At the time it was difficult to make out exactly what was being said but Haye has since shed some light.

“Basically, I was just saying to Bellew I’m going to make it slow, knocking him out quickly in the first few rounds wouldn’t be right,” Haye told IFL TV.

“I’m going to make him earn his money tomorrow night, I earned mine last time out, he’s going to have to earn his money this time. I’m not going to let him off with a quick knock-out.”

“I’m going to break him down slowly, bust him up, break him up, and make him quit.”

“This time, looking at him, is the first time I saw fear in Tony Bellew’s eyes. He’s going to have to show his heart out there.”

It’s clear that Haye believes he has the physical and mental edge over Bellew this time around.

However, Bellew's promoter Eddie Hearn remains confident the Liverpudlian can repeat last year's result.

“Haye came in a bit heavier than I thought he would, I thought he looked a bit bulky,” Hearn said.

“Tony is in great shape physically, is in a great place mentally, he just wants to fight and he’s ready to give it everything at the O2.

“[During the face-off], Haye said: 'I'm going to break you down.' I'm not sure if he used the word 'hurt' I think he did.

"'I'm going to take my time, slow and painful. I'm going to chop you down. I'm not going to make it early. I'm going to make sure you suffer,' he said."

When asked how Bellew responded, Hearn replied: "'I've heard it all before. You said that last time, 14 months ago'"

It’s clear to see that there is still no love lost between these two British heavyweights. Both fighters look healthy and ready to lock horns at the O2 tomorrow night where boxing fans will no doubt be in store for a grand spectacle.
