Charlton have agreed to sign former loanee Johnnie Jackson on a free transfer from Notts County.

County recently gave Jackson, who spent a month on loan with the Addicks last term, permission to leave the club due to personal reasons.

Jackson is set to feature in Charlton's pre-season friendly against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday and manager Phil Parkinson told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to complete the signing of Johnnie. Our supporters will have seen him briefly last season when he played well for us on loan, and his versatility - his ability to play left-back, left midfield or centre midfield - will be very important to us going forward."
