Anthony Joshua watched on in the O2 Arena on Saturday night as an explosive Tony Bellew stopped David Haye in their long-awaited rematch.

The 35-year-old looked at his very best, knocking down Haye three times before the fight was stopped in the fifth round.

Haye didn't retire after the fight - but his career at the top level is surely over.

Meanwhile, the Liverpudlian heavyweight set his sights on fighting 34-year-old Andre Ward, who retired with a perfect 32-fight record in 2017.

“Styles make fights," said Bellew, as per the Independent. "There’s many styles out there that I can beat. I’ll beat Andre Ward. You’re all laughing at me, thinking I haven’t got a chance. I will knock Andre Ward out. I will beat him down, slowly but surely.

"I’ve got all the respect in the world for him, he’s an amazing fighter, a pound-for-pound great. Styles make fights and I would beat him.

“He wants the fight. Believe you me, he thinks he can beat me easy. He wants the fight.”

AJ invited into the ring

The WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO world heavyweight champion was invited into the ring by Haye's conqueror during Joshua's post-fight interview with iFL TV.

Joshua refused, classily telling Bellew "Nah, it's your time. It's your time." Watch the clip below.

Pure class - Joshua is a model sportsman.

Bellew jumped out the ring to embrace the 28-year-old - and Joshua offered some kind words to his fellow heavyweight.

"What you saying my G? You handled business," said the impressed Londoner before receiving a kiss on the head.

Joshua had also told Sky Sports that a fight against Deontay Wilder is "95 per cent" likely to happen this year.

The American boxer made an incredible $50 million offer to Joshua last month - and negotiations are still taking place.

"The fight is going to happen. Ninety-five percent this year," Joshua told Sky Sports.

"I'm really, really, really interested.

"You can't talk about finances anymore because I'm well aware there is financial gain in this fight. So, let's put that aside and look at the devil in the detail.

"You can't just offer me a buy-out clause. I'm not here to sell my belts, let you take control of the event - that's not what I'm about."
