Tonight (Sun. May 6, 2018) the WWE is in Newark, New Jersey for their annual Backlash pay-per-view (PPV).

The professional wrestling juggernaut has quite the show on deck with several big match-ups from both RAW and SmackDown Live, their first dual-brand PPV not a part of the big four, in place for tonight.

It turns out that the WWE could also have a special surprise in store for fans in attendance tonight as well. A pair of legends have been spotted in town just hours before the PPV and could be getting set to make an appearance on the show.

PWInsider is reporting that WWE Hall Of Famer Edge and his former WWE Tag Team Championship partner Christian have been spotted in Newark. It's unknown as of this writing if they'll be appearing on the show, or if they're in town to film material for their Edge & Christian Show on the WWE Network.

While Edge has been away from WWE TV for quite some time, Christian's last appearance came at the special RAW 25 Show when he hosted his old segment The Peep Show.

He also reunited with Edge for the WWE Hall Of Fame induction ceremony before WrestleMania 34 last month to induct fellow Tag Team Legends The Dudley Boyz. It was one of the more memorable inductions of a long night.

Aside from a possible appearance from Edge and Christian tonight, Backlash has several big title bouts set to go down that should tear the house down.

Most notably the WWE Championship match between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura, a rivalry that has been going extremely well for the past several weeks after the former NXT Champion turned heel at WrestleMania.

Seth Rollins is set to defend his Intercontinental Title against The Miz, Roman Reigns will collide with Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy defends his United States Title against Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan takes on Big Cass, and so much more!

What are your thoughts on a possible appearance from Edge and Christian tonight? Do you think they're simply in town to film material for their WWE Network Show? And what match are you looking forward to the most tonight? Let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments section below!
