Joe Rogan is indeed the voice of the UFC, but aside from that he's also a prominent name in the comedy world as well as one of the most successful podcast hosts in the world.

Rogan hosts his show, The Joe Rogan Experience, several times a week in which he interviews various interesting guests on a variety of topics.

While most may know him for his work in mixed martial arts (MMA), those who listen to Rogan's show know he's not shy to let it be known how he truly feels about things.

One such topic of discussion in a recent episode were the actions of UFC welterweight Colby Covington.

Covington is one of the top-ranked 170-pound fighters in the UFC and is set to challenge Rafael dos Anjos for the division's interim title.

He has earned notoriety in the MMA community by establishing himself as one of the brashest trash talkers in the industry, calling a Brazilian crowd "filthy animals" at one point and speaking ill of fellow UFC fighters such as Jon Jones and Conor McGregor.

In regards to Covington's comments about Jones, who is one of the most dangerous fighters the sport has ever seen, Rogan recently mentioned that Covington should mind his words carefully when speaking of Jones because they might come face to face one day.

Rogan did not mean this with ill intentions when he said it, but simply was warning that Jones could physically confront Covington if they ever crossed paths, something that likely wouldn't go Covington's way if it did happen.

Here's what Rogan had to say (quotes via Bloody Elbow):

“Jon Jones is going to be in front of you one day,” Rogan said on The JRE MMA Show, per MMA Mania’s Dan Hiergesell.

“You’ve got to be careful, watch your f-cking words. You’re going to get slapped in the face by a guy who can kill you with his hands. That’s a bad move.”

“I get what Colby’s doing,” Rogan continued.

“He’s making a lot of noise and trying to do business. And if you fight him, you’re going to make a lot of money, because a lot of people are going to come and see him get his ass kicked.”

On a recent edition of BJ Penn.com Radio, Covington got the chance to respond to Rogan's words. Covington offered Rogan the same warning, that if he ever crossed paths with the UFC commentator then he might just slap him:

“I think Joe Rogan should worry about what he’s saying about me because we might just meet face to face soon in the near future,” Covington said.

“He might be commentating that Chicago card, so that’s kind of hypocritical of him to say something like that because when he’s talking about me, we might be face to face. I might just have to slap him.”

What are your thoughts on Rogan saying that Covington should mind his words about Jon Jones? And what do you think of Covington threatening to slap Rogan? Do you think he'd ever do such a thing? Let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments section below!
