The David Haye vs Tony Bellew rematch was a fight everyone was waiting to see, but with the initial rematch being postponed due to an injury to the former, it almost felt like the fight wouldn't happen.

It was Bellew who came out on top though this weekend, knocking down Haye three times before the fight was brought to a stop in the fifth round.

But, all eyes soon turned to Frank Bruno, who not only gave his reaction to Bellew's victory, but also gave some advice to Anthony Joshua.

Despite all the excitement of this weekend's fight, an interview with Bruno couldn't go without being asked about Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

Joshua became the WBO, WBA (Super), and IBF heavyweight champion after his victory against Joseph Parker earlier in the year, and most people started to question what would be next for the undefeated three-time champion holder.

Most think the next move for Joshua will be to take on WBC champion Wilder and become the undisputed heavyweight king.

Well, since then, Wilder has made a $50million offer to fight Joshua and Bruno was happy to share his thoughts.

When asked how he felt about the $50million fight offer, Bruno gave some advice for Joshua.

He said: "I would advice Anthony Joshua to fight over here (UK) rather than to go over to America.

"...it's best for him to fight at home, he's the champion, he's got the most belts. Let him (Wilder) come here."

Bruno said that Joshua shouldn't let Wilder 'bully him' if a fight between the pair does go ahead.

"Don't let them bully him (Joshua), fight here in England because it's the best country in the world."

He added: "It's best to fight here, later on he can fight in Vegas, but fight Deontay Wilder over here is my best advice for him."

It looks like Joshua might have heard Bruno's advice over the weekend because not long after the Haye vs Bellew fight, the Brit told Sky Sports that he is confident the bout will take place and could happen this year.

Joshua said: “The fight is going to happen, there’s no doubt about it,

“Potentially 95 per cent this year. I can’t offer you ten quid and buy your life.

“The devil is in the detail. I’m really interested but you can’t talk about finances anymore, because I’m well aware there is financial gain.

“We’ve got a long time to finalise things though. Potentially it will be the end of the year but I’m really interested.”
