The La Liga title might already be sewn up but El Clasico was never going to be a drab affair.

Real Madrid entered the match 15 points behind Barcelona but had plenty of motivation to beat their rivals at the Camp Nou.

Not only would they have loved to end Barca’s unbeaten record in the league but they had the opportunity to move to within just one point of Atletico Madrid in second with a win.

With so much to play for, it’s probably not surprising we saw yet another fiesty clash between these two Spanish giants.

There were eight bookings during the 90 minutes, plus Sergi Roberto got sent off for lashing out at Marcelo in first-half stoppage time.

But the clashing didn’t stop when the referee blew for half-time.

In the tunnel during the break, plenty went on.

WHAT WAS SAID BETWEEN NACHO AND PIQUE

First, Sergio Ramos accused Lionel Messi of pressuring the ref by saying: “Messi has put a little pressure in the tunnel.

"I do not know if there were cameras, I don't know if in the second half he will have done it in other ways.

"It's football and everything has to be left on the field, as long as it's not going to hurt you. You have to have that respect."

Cameras may not have caught that but they did catch Gerard Pique having a word with Madrid’s Nacho.

The Barca defender can be seen saying something behind his hand to which Nacho looked pretty angry with.

While it’s unknown what Pique said in the first place, Marca are reporting that Nacho replied with: “How can you complain, if they have already dismissed us 17 times already?”

Pique was clearly moaning about Sergi’s red card and Nacho wasn’t having any of it.

But Madrid captain Ramos tried to play down any argument between the two Spanish players.

"Nothing happened between Nacho and Piqué in the tunnel. We are all friends and international teammates,” Ramos insisted.
