Peterborough have completed the signing of Arron Davies on a two-year contract following a successful trial.

The 26-year-old former Nottingham Forest forward has been training with the rest of the squad in Portugal and had been attracting interest from other clubs.

Manager Gary Johnson told the club`s official website: "I think it is a great acquisition to our squad, I have worked with Arron before at Yeovil and we get on very well."

Johnson added: "He is a striker who can run with the ball and he is something different in midfield if I play three in there. He gives us more options and that is what you are always looking for.

"He has got quality and that is why he went for a lot of money to Nottingham Forest. If I can get him back to his best, we have an absolute bargain and I am sure we will see the best of him."
