The Philadelphia 76ers kept their season alive as they avoided a sweep at the hands of the Boston Celtics. The Sixers finally won their first game of the second-round series with a 103-92 victory at Wells Fargo Center to give themselves faint hope of producing a comeback after going down 3-0.Dario Saric led them in scoring as he dropped a game-high 25 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the field. Head coach Brett Brown made the surprising decision to start T.J. McConnell but it worked to perfection as he got a huge performance from the pesky point guard. The undrafted man posted a career-high 19 points on an efficient 9-of-12 shooting to go along with seven rebounds and five assists.

He was terrific on both ends of the floor as he gave the 76ers a huge spark and formed a strong backcourt partnership with Ben Simmons.

The Aussie also had 19 points as well as 13 rebounds and five assists in his best display of the series.

Joel Embiid added a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds but Philadelphia still has a huge task ahead of them.

No NBA team has ever overcome a 3-0 deficit which means they'd have to create a piece of history to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Despite the loss, the Celtics are still in complete control and will now have an opportunity to close the series out back at home.

They were once again led by rookie Jayson Tatum who had 20 points. Marcus Morris also added 17 off the bench.

Game five will take place on Wednesday night and a win would see Boston set up a conference finals rematch with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
