The excitement will now surely be sinking in for Darren Till as the UFC heads to Liverpool, England for their first-ever event inside of the Echo Arena this month and understandably, Till is the hometown hero the British fans want to see.

It’s going to be anything but easy for Till, though, as the UFC has ensured their Liverpool adventure isn’t going to be a disappointing one by feeding a lower ranked opponent to the Liverpudlian.

UFC LIVERPOOL

Instead, the number one ranked welterweight Stephen Thompson is surely going to provide Till the toughest test of his career so far.

The Gorilla, who is currently ranked eighth in the UFC’s welterweight rankings behind Kamaru Usman, will not only be looking to add another big win to his undefeated record to follow on from his big win over Donald Cerrone in his previous outing, but a win over Wonderboy can certainly propel him into the championship conversation.

However, this week, there has been a lot of understandable negativity aimed towards Till for one particular sparring session and fans really aren’t happy with what they saw.

Firstly, Till broke the unwritten rule about posting a sparring session on social media.

Fans will clearly remember the whole situation that broke out between Conor McGregor and boxing’s Paulie Malignaggi after the Notorious’ camp released footage of their sessions which saw the Magic Man get knocked down - as controversial as it was.

SPARRING

Other than actually posting the footage on his Instagram account, viewers are furious that Till continued to follow up with big shots on his sparring partner who was already looking dazed, before uploading it to social media for the rest of the world to see.

In the clip, which you can see below, Till is seen knocking down his sparring partner with a big left hand, with some claiming that his partner looked like a beginner, before Till then landed a swarm of hooks to the head and body of his sparring partner.

After catching wind of what the critics have been saying - and you can see plenty of backlash from fans by clicking here - Till responded in another Instagram post.

He posted: “For all you dumb ***** commenting on my previous video talking ****, saying that it’s bullying. Giving my training partner **** saying he is not worthy to be in there with me!

“We had a good few rounds together where he gave me a smack and I gave him one, it was a hard day and I feel I have it my all and that previous video was a good clip of me landing some shots.

“All you internet fights haven’t got a ******* clue so stick to internet fighting and leave the real fighting to us!”

Even with Till’s response, it probably won’t stop fans from criticising him for uploading that in the first place.
