Tony Bellew stopped David Haye in the fifth round after knocking down the 37-year-old three times.

The convincing victory possibly marks the end of Haye's career - but the impressive Bellew surely has one or two big paydays left.

He called out Tyson Fury straight after the fight.

The self-proclaimed Gypsy King is set to return to the ring on June 9 for a comeback fight against an unknown fighter.

Fury - who lost his boxing license after failing a drugs test - hasn’t fought since he beat Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 to become the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Speaking after his victory over Haye, the 35-year-old Liverpudlian said: “I’d love Tyson Fury. I’d love to knock Tyson Fury out.

"I know people think I’m crazy, but I know I can do it.”

Hearn weighs in

It's a fight that British boxing fans would love to see happen.

Bellew is looking sharper than ever right now and boxing promoter Eddie Hearn genuinely believes he could beat the returning 29-year-old heavyweight.

“He [Fury] is not a puncher,” Hearn said while speaking on Behind The Gloves at London’s O2 Arena, as per the Express.

“He doesn’t punch like [Deontay] Wilder or [Anthony] Joshua.

“He is very good, but if Bellew boxed Fury now, he’d beat him.

“Would he beat the guy that beat [Wladimir] Klitschko? Probably not – but he’s not that guy at the moment.”

Hearn might have a point - Fury is still working towards full fitness and hasn't had a competitive fight for two-and-a-half years.

If the outspoken Fury comes through his comeback fight unscathed, Hearn might try and make this fight happen.

Bellew received a brutal response from the 'Gypsy King', who suggested he could knock out Haye's conqueror within one round.

Fury said: "On a serious note, how long do you think it would take me to walk through Tony Bellew without defending myself?

"I don’t think he could beat me with both my hands behind my back. He would get tired after five or six punches. He is an old dosser, all he is good for is to be my opponent.

“If you’re out there Tony, after I knock you out in one round, I’ll give you a job cleaning my shoes.

“But If Bellew wants knocking spark out he can come to me. One round.”
