While WrestleMania season seems to be a whirlwind for most WWE fans, the subsequent Greatest Royal Rumble and Backlash offerings haven't quite been what most of the WWE Universe expected.

However, the company is now swiftly moving into Money in the Bank season, another fan favourite time of year.

With just over five weeks to go until the pay-per-view event, both Raw and SmackDown Live have started the qualifying matches to both the men's and women's Money in the Bank ladder matches.

Rusev, Finn Balor, The Miz and Braun Strowman have qualified for the men's while Charlotte and Ember Moon have secured their spots in the women's.

While all of those men are top-tier talents with world title credentials, it seems as though we could be in for a real shock winner in June.

According to PWInsider, the New Day's Big E is set for a huge solo push and it is likely to come into effect at the Money in the Bank PPV.

The 32-year-old is a former Intercontinental champion and a four-time Tag Team champion as part of the New Day triumphant and while the group is still popular with fans, there is no doubt that they aren't as red hot as they used to be.

With their merchandise sales reportedly down, the WWE is looking at organically breaking the group up and Big E is naturally the standout star of the pack. There doesn't have to be a heel turn involved and Mike Johnson of PWInsider explained why.

“He (Big E) makes the most sense. He can be a base for a lot of the other guys. If there was ever a time to break this team up and have Big E pushed to the next level – it’s probably now where the team is still popular. I don’t think they are at the apex of where they were.

"You could still have New Day with Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods. I think it’s overdue that Big E gets a singles push. Perhaps we will get that now.”
