He’s England’s second highest Test wicket-taker of all-time but Stuart Broad’s greatest sporting achievement might have actually occurred in Fantasy Premier League his week. That’s because the cricketer scored a ridiculous 180 points this week in the Fantasy Football game - more than anyone else in the world - beating almost six million other players in the process.Ahead of West Ham’s clash with Manchester United on Thursday night, Broad led every other player with 169 points. With his ‘Bench Boost’ chip being played and West Ham goalkeeper Adrian on his bench, Broad was delighted to see the Hammers keep a clean sheet against Jose Mourinho’s side.It left his ‘Selby Forest’ side on 180 points, nine more points than any other manager who plays FPL.And it’s fair to say Broad is delighted.Ahead of that final match of the gameweek, Broad compared this achievement to his Ashes heroics."I enjoyed 8-15 in the Ashes but leading gameweek 37 in Fantasy Football runs it close as a sporting achievement!" The 31-year-old said on Instagram. And, at half-time of West Ham vs United, Broad took to Twitter to write: "Fine half Adrian. Refocus after the break, it's a big 45 minutes for us!"

After being crowned as the weekly winner, Broad then took to Twitter to reveal how pleased he was.

“I am genuinely delighted!” he told FPL’s official Twitter account.

Broad will also receive a prize for his efforts - a mysterious FPL goody bag.

However, although the bowler had a fantastic week, he will be looking to improve his performance next week.

He currently finds himself in 959,370th place this campaign with 1,968 points overall.
