Going against Vince McMahon’s orders clearly isn’t the best decision any WWE superstar could make, so it comes as no surprise that rumours have emerged this week that Big Cass has potentially landed himself in hot water of his actions on an episode of SmackDown LIVE.

Earlier this week, reports suggested that Big Cass not appearing on Tuesday night’s episode of SmackDown was a bad sign, especially since there was speculation that following his move to the blue brand in the Superstar Shake-up, the former NXT star was going to be receiving a big push.

OFF-SCRIPT

It’s clear to see why. He fits the mould of a typical ‘Vince McMahon superstar’ and throwing him in his first big singles feud against Daniel Bryan meant he could go over as a top heel on SmackDown.

Instead, Cass tapped out almost immediately to Bryan during their underwhelming match at the equally-poor Backlash event on Sunday night. Now, Pro Wrestling Sheet has revealed exactly what Big Cass has done that has seen him receive backstage heat, including angering Vince himself.

During the build-up to his clash against Bryan, Big Cass was featured in a segment with a ‘little person’ dressed as Bryan; clearly poking fun at Bryan’s size as he’s the smaller man compared to Big Cass.

It resulted in Cass beating him down in the middle of the ring, however, Cass decided to go off-script.

According to the source, Cass was directed by backstage officials to be done with the attack after hitting him with a big boot. Instead, Cass was asking whether he could take his attack further with a beatdown.

BEATDOWN

The officials told him that a further beatdown wasn’t possible, but Cass felt so strongly about it and doing so, he decided to go to Vince himself to ask whether he can continue the beatdown and not end with a big boot.

Vince, though, also shot down that idea.

As you will have seen if you watched SmackDown when it aired live, Big Cass went against the orders and ended up throwing a barrage of punches on the Bryan impersonator after landing the big boot.

Following this, backstage officials were left extremely unhappy and now, Cass has landed in hot water. So, perhaps this is why he lost so convincingly to Bryan at Backlash, before not being used on SmackDown at all this week.

To prove this might have actually been the case, the video WWE uploaded onto their official YouTube channel doesn’t include the punches, while the photo gallery on WWE.com has also taken out the attack following the big boot.

Considering fans aren’t that high on Big Cass and don’t want to see him feud with Bryan and in the big spots, he’s done himself no favours by getting on the wrong side of Vince either.
