For any football fan that didn’t watch West Ham vs Manchester United on Thursday night, we’re very jealous. There have been 370 matches in the Premier League so far this season and this was one of the worst of the lot.The two sides, who have very little to play for, played out a drab 0-0 draw at the London Stadium.Well, we say both sides had nothing to play for but West Ham - who are 15th - could have moved level on points with Newcastle in 10th with a win.As for United, they actually secured 2nd place with a point. But without doubt the most entertaining incident during the whole 90 minutes came in the 88th-minute.Midfielders Mark Noble and Paul Pogba clashed late on, with West Ham’s skipper grabbing the Frenchman in the face before a melee involving both sets of players.

NOBLE AND POGBA'S CLASH

Both received a yellow card - although Noble can consider himself fortunate not to be dismissed.

At the end of the match, Noble and Pogba could be seen hugging each other as the appeared to apologise for their behaviour.

And the morning after the night before, Noble decided to tweet Pogba.

He wrote: “What happens on the pitch stays on the pitch @paulpogba,” accompanied with the thumbs up emoji at 8:18am on Friday morning.

He was obviously feeling a little bit guilty when he woke up.

While some suggested Noble should have sent off for grabbing Pogba’s face, United boss Jose Mourinho had a rather different view of the incident.

"Paul and Noble, they looked in love," Mourinho said.

"Cuddles, hugs and kisses, changing shirts.

"So I think it was good, competitive. We needed points to finish second. They don't win anything, because they did the job last match at Leicester but they play to win and the changes David [Moyes] made was to try that.

"Moss was there and he resolved the problem in a good way because the game was intense, but the game was correct. When I saw the reaction of the players I believe that was nothing extraordinary."
