Chelsea do love loaning out their players, don't they?

Over the years, the Blues have gained something of a reputation for sending their squad players and up and coming stars to other clubs to aid their development. And it seems the club has no intentions of slowing down.

The 2017-18 campaign saw as many as 39 players leave Stamford Bridge for another club.

Some turn out to be success stories, like Victor Moses and Andreas Christensen while others are caught up in an endless cycle of club swapping before their eventual release.

But how have the latest cohort of loanees fared during the 2017-18 season?

It's fair to say there's been varied levels of success - some might not see August as a Chelsea player and some could be pulling on the famous blue jersey in no time.

So, without further ado, here are the 39 players Chelsea have shipped out and how they've got on this season.

Tammy Abraham | Swansea City

Everything started so well for Abraham in south Wales, scoring five goals in his first 10 games but a recent run of 17 games without a goal shows he's got a long way to go. Another loan spell is undoubtedly needed if he's to prove he can lead the line for Chelsea.

Ola Aina | Hull City

Aina has played a key role in helping Hull avoid relegation, gaining valuable experience across 45 appearances for the Tigers.

Victorien Angban | Waasland-Beveren

The Ivorian midfielder has ticked over in Belgium this season, making 22 appearances but the Mirror damningly rate his chances of making the Chelsea first-team at 0/10.

Baba Rahman | Schalke

Yes, he really is still a Chelsea player. Rahman is turning out to be an accomplished left-back in the Bundesliga, almost three years after his £22 million and can hold quiet optimism about returning to th Chelsea fold one day.

Lewis Baker | Middlesbrough

A move up north has stunted Baker's career after two successful seasons with Vitesse and just two goals in 15 appearances has disappointed many.

Michy Batshuayi | Borussia Dortmund

The flamboyant Belgian has had his season finished early by injury but he started life in Germany with great success. Batshuayi has sent a clear message to the west London club with nine goals in 15 outings for Dortmund.

Nathan Baxter | Woking

The young goalkeeper has established himself as Woking's number one goalkeeper but is still in the early stages of his development.

Mitchell Beeney | Sligo Rovers

Beeney's chances of getting anywhere near the Chelsea first-team look dire after just three appearances for Sligo this season.

Jamal Blackman | Sheffield United

Yet another goalkeeper in the Chelsea loan system, Blackman conceded just 29 goals in his first 27 appearances and has established himself as a decent shot stopper.

Jeremie Boga | Birmingham City

Boga started Chelsea's first game of the season against Burnley yet his big opportunity was ruined by Gary Cahill's early red card. He has impressed at St. Andrew's with two goals and two assists this season.

Jake Carter-Salter | Sunderland

It's not been a good season for Carter-Salter who suffered relegation with the Black Cats this season with just 11 appearances to his name.

Bradley Collins | Forest Green Rovers

Despite amassing 32 starts this season, it's been a dire campaign for Collins who's collected just four clean sheets.

Fankaty Dabo | Vitesse Arnhem

One of many Chelsea loanees to take residence in Vitesse, Dabo has impressed many in the Netherlands and went viral earlier in the season for an outrageous 30-yard strike.

Jay Dasilva | Charlton Athletic

It's been an impressive season for Charlton and Dasilva has made 38 appearances for them across the term, but he may fall just short of promotion this season.

Michael Hector | Hull City

A signing that surprised many when Jose Mourinho signed it off in 2015, he's built on his loan spell with Eintracht Frankfurt by turning out 30 times for Hull City across 2017-18. Still looks a long way from returning to Chelsea, however.

Jordan Houghton | Doncaster Rovers

Houghton has made a very solid start to his development away with Doncaster Rovers, becoming an almost ever present under Darren Ferguson.

Tomas Kalas | Fulham

Chelsea fans will always remember his brilliant performance in THAT game against Liverpool in 2014 but Kalas hasn't quite lived up to expectations. His time with Chelsea could come to an end this summer despite impressing with promotion-chasing Fulham.

Todd Kane | Oxford United

A decent season for Kane who has turned out for Groningen and Oxford, collecting two goals and an assist with the latter.

Kenedy | Newcastle United

Another player who racked up appearances during the doomed 2015-16 campaign, Kenedy has stirred hopes of a renaissance with an impressive stint at Newcastle. May push for a permanent move to St. James' Park this summer.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek | Crystal Palace

It's been a cracking season for Loftus-Cheek and possibly a breakthrough moment for the Englishman. In with a shout of making England's World Cup squad, if any loan spell will persuade Chelsea to take a chance on him, it's this season's.

Matt Miazga | Vitesse Arnhem

Has spent two decent campaigns in the Netherlands but looks unlikely to appear for Chelsea again having been bought mainly as a marketing ploy.

Mason Mount | Vitesse Arnhem

Seven goals and four assists in less than 30 outings marks an impressive campaign for Mount as one of the standout performers in the list of loanees.

Charly Musonda | Celtic

A fan's favourite at Chelsea, fans thought Musonda would get the opportunity to prove himself in Scotland but Brendan Rodgers has given him few opportunities to shine.

Nathan | Belenenses

It's not looking good for the Brazilian who was released by Amiens earlier in the season and has only managed four appearances in Portugal since.

Kenneth Omerou | Kasimpasa

The future still looks bright for Omerou who signed a new contract at Stamford Bridge before moving to Turkey on his fifth separate loan outing.

Kasey Palmer | Derby County

An integral part of the Huddersfield team that earned promotion last season, Palmer unfortunately had his contract terminated by the club in January. On his way back to success in the midlands with a handful of goals and assists for the Rams.

Danilo Pantic | Partisan Belgrade

Chelsea fans have quiet reason to be excited about Pantic who is highly rated in Serbia and is putting in solid performances for Partizan.

Mario Pasalic | Spartak Moscow

Another impressive member of the Chelsea loan system, Pasalic is building on his impressive spell with AC Milan in Russia and has netted five this season.

Lucas Piazon | Fulham

Four goals and four assists isn't a bad return for a player who has missed much of the season with injury. He's still a long shot to make the Chelsea team next year, though, after nearly five years in the loan system.

Josimar Quintero | Real Betis B

Brought in as an exciting Barcelona prospect in 2014, time is running out for Quintero after a nondescript spell in Real Betis' second string team.

Jhoao Rodriguez | Tampico Madero

Nine loan spell at the age of 21 and only recently emerging from a three-year goal drought, the Mirror have great reason to rate his chances of cutting it at Chelsea at 0/10.

Jared Thompson | Chippenham Town

You'd think Chelsea had enough goalkeepers out on loan at this point wouldn't you? Thompson is ticking over in the sixth division of English football.

Fikayo Tomori | Hull City

The third loanee to Hull, Tomori has made over 20 appearances and looks a real asset to the Blues. He has greatly contributed to Hull's survival this season and has a brilliant footballing brain for his age.

Marco van Ginkel | PSV Eindhoven

At the age of 25, time is running out for Van Ginkel after initially signing for Chelsea in 2013. He captains Eindhoven and has continued to impress but a permanent departure seems a question of when, not if.

Ike Ugbo | MK Dons

There's still a long way to go for Ugbo who has just one goal to his name this season and hasn't scored since August.

Charlie Wakefield | Stevenage

League Two hasn't treated the two-time UEFA Youth Cup winner particularly well with Wakefield having collected more appearances for Chelsea's youth teams than Stevenage this season.

Kurt Zouma | Stoke City

Once touted as a future staple in the Chelsea squad, many have been left underwhelmed by the Frenchman's surprise spell with Stoke. His future looks unclear after the Potters suffered Premier League relegation.
