It's fair to say Alexis Sanchez has not had the impact at Man United that the club would have hoped.

The Chilean made the shock move from Arsenal to Man United in January, but he has tallied just three goals in 16 appearances for his new side.

In fact, some pundits, including Gary Neville, have even stated that he's made a negative impact for his club.

“He [Jose Mourinho] brought Alexis Sanchez into the club and look at what’s happened to them since Alexis Sanchez came in," he explained a few days ago.

“If you look at the actual stats and you think about before Sanchez arrived at the club, they were playing quite a bit of football, they were scoring goals and contributing, they had assists.

“But since Alexis Sanchez has come to the club, obviously he’s played a lot of the games, and look what’s happened.

“There’s been a big impact negatively, so they’ve [Rashford and Martial] got to get back to the standards they were setting earlier in the season and what they’re capable of.”

ALEXIS SANCHEZ'S CONTRACT

A lot was made about Sanchez's contract when he joined.

Sanchez was initially set to join Man City, but Man United eventually won the race for his signature after offering him a considerable amount of money.

No one knew exactly how much he was on, with publications revealing that he earns somewhere between £350,000-per-week and £600,000-per-week.

But now the truth has been revealed. And it is as crazy as you would expect.

A new book from Football Leaks has emerged, per Daily Mail, and it breaks down just how much the Chilean earns at Old Trafford.

It has been revealed he earns £391,000-per-week, but he could earn a lot more on top of that as part of bonuses.

Sanchez receives £75,000 for every game he starts, as well as a £1.1m annual signing-on fee. That figure is guaranteed, however he performs.

He will also be given £2m if he reaches a combination of 40 goals and assists in a season, £1m if United win the Champions League and £500,000 if they win the Premier League.

That means, he could earn around £25 million a year if he hits all his targets.

That is just absolutely insane.

Jose Mourinho clearly wanted to beat Pep Guardiola to the signing of Sanchez, and he gave the Chilean all he could in order to persuade him to join United instead.

It's just a shame he isn't living up to the expectations that the club had for him... Yet.
