Liverpool’s next two matches will determine their season. If Jurgen Klopp’s side secure a top-four finish on the final day of the season and then beat Real Madrid to clinch their 6th European Cup, it would be an unbelievable campaign for the Reds.If they somehow throw away their top-four spot against Brighton and lose to Madrid in the Champions League final, it would be pretty disastrous. What Liverpool definitely didn’t want heading into those two game are any injury concerns.Emre Can and Joel Matip are already seemingly ruled out of both matches, while Adam Lallana is only just coming back from a long-term injury. But Klopp has just been dealt a major blow ahead of their clash with Brighton with the news that one of his front-three is struggling.Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have been incredible this season, scoring a combined 89 goals.

SADIO MANE IS STRUGGLING

However, they may have to finish their domestic season without the latter after Klopp revealed Mane has picked up another injury.

Asked if the Senegalese international would be fit for the Premier League climax, Klopp said: "We will see. It is not the same injury. It's a fresh problem."

Liverpool fans aren't worried too much at the prospect of Mane missing the Brighton game as they only need a draw. But will he be fit of the Champions League final in just two weeks time? Let’s hope so.

Anyway, with Mane set to be ruled out, Liverpool fans have been thinking who could replace him.

There’s no real out-and-out replacement in the Liverpool squad, while the likes of Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke have both struggled whenever called upon.

Instead, they want one man to take the place of Mane - Alberto Moreno.

No, seriously.

It’s certainly an interesting selection.

The Spaniard is something of a scapegoat at Anfield with his defensive ability often being questioned - and rightly so in most cases.

Playing him further forward will mean that his constant mistakes are unlikely to result in Liverpool conceding, as there will be plenty of cover behind him.

But surely Klopp will look towards Ings or Solanke.

Firmino has often done a job on the wing this season and could be moved to the left, with Ings and Solanke being selected down the middle.

Then again, Klopp could give Moreno a chance to impress ahead of the Champions League final…
