Arsene Wenger will take charge of his final match as Arsenal manager on Sunday.

The Frenchman has been at the helm of the club for 22 years but will step aside for a new era to begin at the Emirates.

Whether he was told to leave or he left on his own accord is certainly up for debate.

Either way, Wenger deserves an incredible send-off during his final Arsenal match against Huddersfield on Sunday.

But as soon as Wenger walks out of that door, the club need to be looking at naming a replacement as soon as possible.

It will be a big summer for Arsenal as they attempt to achieve a top-four finish in the Premier League next season - something they haven’t done for two years now.

But who will the man sitting in Arsenal’s hot seat come August?

ALLEGRI IS FAVOURITE - BUT HE HAS CONCERNS

Well, Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is the bookmakers favourite with doubt surrounding his career at the Old Lady.

However, Allegri has three major concerns about taking the Arsenal job.

According to Duncan Castles writing for Yahoo Sport, the Italian is unsure about the quality of the Arsenal squad, the amount of funds he will be given and the prospect of replacing Wenger and the big shoes he has left behind.

Castles writes: “There are serious question marks over the quality of an Arsenal squad that has failed to even qualify for the Champions League two seasons running, and over its American owners’ willingness to fund new signings. That, added to the inherent difficultly of succeeding a manager of 22 years, are concerns for Allegri.”

You can understand Allegri’s reservations.

Arsenal are currently a massive 37 points behind champions Manchester City and 12 points behind fourth-placed Liverpool. It will take significant improvement for Arsenal to compete with the top-four next season.

As for the transfer funds, Wenger was renowned for his lack of spending and after the club spent big to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January, coupled with failure to qualify for the Champions League, it will be unlikely that Allegri would have a blank cheque at the Emirates.

As for succeeding a manager of 22 years, Allegri probably shouldn’t be too concerned about that.

Yes, Wenger will be regarded as a legend at the club but he didn’t achieve anything in his recent years that Allegri will struggle to at least match.

David Moyes may have struggled to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United but Fergie won the title in his final season. Wenger will leave Arsenal after leading them to an underwhelming 6th place finish.

Arsenal aren’t the only London side interested in appointing Allegri, though.

Chelsea are also sniffing around and Castles claims that the manager is “interested in both of those positions and the prospect of living and working in London.”

However, a friend has revealed that Allegri needs a chance to be successful at his next club.

“He knows he needs a fresh experience, but he’s not the guy who wants to go to England without a real chance to win,” a friend told Yahoo Sport. “Which competitive club can give him that opportunity now?”
