The summer transfer window is set to open in one month and plenty of business is expected to take place at Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's side have already agreed the transfer of Naby Keita, who will join from RB Leipzig on June 30.

"Naby has the quality to have a big effect on the team immediately he arrives," said Liverpool's German boss.

"We will probably sign a couple more players in summer because we need more depth in the squad."

Meanwhile, fellow midfielder Emre Can is expected to leave the club on a free transfer amid interest from Serie A giants Juventus.

The Times report that Rhian Brewster could be another player heading for the Liverpool exit door.

The 18-year-old striker is yet to sign a professional contract at Anfield and The Times believe Borussia Monchengladbach are leading the race for his signature.

What Klopp has done for Brewster

Signed from Chelsea at the age of 15, Brewster is considered one of England's finest young talents - and he was the top scorer at last year's Under-17 World Cup.

Bundesliga clubs Monchengladbach and RB Leipzig have both registered an interest, while Tottenham Hotspur are also vying for his signature.

Klopp has been doing everything in his power to convince Brewster to stay on Merseyside.

According to The Times, Klopp and the sporting director Michael Edwards have told Brewster how highly they regard him.

They also allowed him to recover from his January ankle surgery at Melwood.

As per The Times, "It is normal practice for Liverpool youngsters who have not committed their futures to be banished to the academy, so the fact that Klopp insisted he undergo his rehabilitation in and around the first team set-up shows how the manager is still hoping that Brewster will stay."

They must think very highly of him at Anfield.

Klopp praises Brewster at awards ceremony

The former Borussia Dortmund manager hailed the teenager in a written message sent to the Football Writers’ Association on Thursday.

"During the past 12 months Rhian has established himself as one of the most exciting prospects in English football," Klopp wrote.

"He has grown and risen in status at Liverpool."

Klopp praised Brewster for speaking out about the racism he suffered during a Champions League youth game in Russia.

“Rhian made an even bigger impact on the game we all love and even a significant impact on society,” added Klopp. “He spoke about racism with the same power, command and composure that he shows when playing.”
