When Buffalo Bills traded away 2017 starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor for a third round pick, we all knew a first-round selection was coming from the AFC East team in the NFL Draft.

That was made even clearer when the Bills’ slim chances of landing Kirk Cousins in a free agency sweepstake was dashed as he joined Minnesota Vikings.

But Buffalo had the 12th selection heading into the draft only to trade both of their second round picks to Tampa Bay Buccaneers and move up five places.

This put Buffalo in position and despite seeing Baker Mayfield land in Cleveland and Sam Darnold join the Jets, the Bills chose Josh Allen over other promising rookie Josh Rosen, who was selected by Arizona Cardinals at number ten.

This decision has been heavily scrutinized by the NFL media and fans across America, with one of Allen’s clear issues being his accuracy.

It’s safe to say some cornerbacks out there might be licking their lips and one vocal NFL star in Jacksonville Jaguars’ Jalen Ramsey has been doing his best to unnerve Allen already.

Allen is taking his first snaps with Buffalo during their rookie minicap, while he also met Bills legend and four-time Super Bowl runner-up Jim Kelly in the process.

It was a good chance for Allen to make a strong impression on his fellow rookies and new team but unfortunately a video posted by Buffalo didn’t exactly show him in a great light.

Allen looked slow and laboured in a video posted by Buffalo as he took a snap and threw to his right. It was just one seven-second clip though but it was enough for Ramsey to jump on Twitter and roast the former Wyoming quarterback in the tweet below.

Ramsey explained ‘that’s a pick waiting to happen’ in response to the Buffalo video before he eventually deleted the tweet and post ‘imma chill’.

Even Bills’ fans are not completely on board with the selection but we will see how this plays out in training camp and when the season comes around. Allen needs to get used to the doubters and knows only strong play on the field will prove people wrong.

As for Buffalo’s options if everything does go south in Allen’s first season, coach Sean McDermott and his staff have former Cincinnati Bengal AJ McCarron and pick monster Nathan Peterman in the quarterback room.
