People are still talking about this botch.

Curt Hawkins decided to have some fun at the expense of Titus O’Neil at a recent WWE live event.

For those who may not remember, Hawkins has had two stints with the sports entertainment company.

If you recall, he signed his first contract with WWE in 2006 where he was given the ring name Brian Majors and teamed up with his former tag team partner Bret Matthews, who was renamed Brett Majors, to form the tag team the Majors Brothers.

Together they won the Deep South Wrestling DSW Tag Team Championship on two occasions. They later won the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship.

Fast forward to 2007, they were moved from ECW to SmackDown as the eighth pick in the 2007 Supplemental Draft. On SmackDown, the team had more success by defeating Chavo Guerrero and Jamie Noble. After having some success, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and the rest of the creative team decided to do something with the tag team.

At Armageddon, the team dressed up as Edge and interfered in the World Heavyweight Championship match by replacing Edge during the match to help him win the title.

Their storyline with Edge last for a while but nothing last forever. On the September 26, 2008, episode of SmackDown, Hawkins, and Ryder lost the Tag Team Titles to Carlito and Primo Colón in their first televised title defense.

On April 15, 2009, Ryder was drafted back to the ECW brand as part of the 2009 Supplemental Draft, separating the team. This was when Hawkins’ career started going downhill. After being a jobber and included in various tag teams, the company stopped using him.

On the May 8, 2014, episode of NXT, Hawkins competed in a battle royal to determine a new #1 contender to the NXT Championship, in which he was unsuccessful. On the May 22 episode of NXT Hawkins faced Adrian Neville in a losing effort. In June of that year, he was released from the company.

To his credit, Hawkins, who is a good wrestler, took his talents to the independent scene and had some great matches with various wrestlers. His problem is not talent but rather what WWE creative has for him. They have not booked him in the best ways possible.

On July 21, 2016, Myers signed to make his return to WWE and joined the SmackDown brand. He returned to WWE under his Curt Hawkins ring name in vignettes in a similar vein of the well-known Chuck Norris facts. Since then he has been a jobber and used as an enhancement talent.

Hawkins’ last victory in WWE came on November 8th, 2016. Hawkins defeated Apollo Crews on an episode of SmackDown. Since then, the WWE Superstar has lost over 100 matches in a row, including WWE live events.

O’Neil had maybe the best botch in the history of pro wrestling as he tripped while making his entrance in the 50-Man Royal Rumble match at the WWE Greatest Royal Rumble pay-per-view event on the WWE Network in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at the King Abdullah International Stadium that saw Braun Strowman win the 50-Man Royal Rumble Match.

WWE held a live event on Friday in Dublin, Ireland at the 3Arena. At the show, Hawkins and O’Neil worked a multi-man match during which, Hawkins decided it was a good idea to mock O’Neil’s epic botch, which you can see here.
