There have been a ton of rumors swirling around indicating that Nate Diaz could be making his Octagon return to challenge Georges St-Pierre at lightweight. It all started when UFC President Dana White announced on the UFC Unfiltered podcast that he's working on getting a lightweight fight done between Nate Diaz and St-Pierre for the August 4th UFC 227 event in Los Angeles. The fight makes sense as St-Pierre has a past with the Diaz family. St-Pierre is arguably Nate's older brother, Nick's, biggest rival of his career. After a ton of back-and-forth for years, Nick and Georges finally got to fight at UFC 158 in 2013. St-Pierre won the fight via unanimous decision, but not after Diaz made some highly controversial claims about the fight.Diaz claimed that St-Pierre actually missed weight for the fight but he was still allowed to compete because they were competing in his native Canada. Also, Diaz claims he was given a bad IV from a St-Pierre sympathizer which hindered his performance. He also believes that St-Pierre has been abusing Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs) throughout his career. It seems that his brother Nate feels the same way, as he took to social media to comment on the rumors going around. While not outright denying the fight is a possibility, he noted everything Nick claimed before and also said that if St-Pierre wants to fight him he needs to clear that stuff up first. Check it out: "Gsp cheated when he fought my brother he was on steroids 💉 he was overweight and they let him be because we were in Montreal and his boy gave nick a bad iv now they selling u wolf tickets on me gsp you can clear that sh*t up or fight yourself cheater 🖕🏼"

Nate has said in the past that he'd be reluctant to fight St-Pierre, as he believes that's his brother's fight to take. It seems that if the money is right and Diaz is assured St-Pierre is not abusing PEDs, the fight could go through.
