Arsenal's search for a new manager seems to be reaching the business end.

Orginally, it was thought that Luis Enrique would be given the job.

But now Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has emerged as the front-runner to replace Arsene Wenger.

But, when asked about his future earlier on in the week, the Italian manager hinted that he would see out his contract with his current employers.

"I have a contract with Juventus and, as we do every year, we will meet at the end of the season to plan the future," he said.

"We need a clear understanding of how to improve again. We haven’t reached our maximum because we have lost two Champions League finals."

ALLEGRI WILL BE OFFERED THE JOB

However, it seems as if Allegri does have his eye on succeeding Wenger.

The 50-year-old reportedly met with Arsenal officials earlier this week, and it is believed that talks went well.

And now the Sun have claimed that Allegri will agree to become Arsenal's manager on one condition.

Allegri believes that the current Arsenal side needs major work, and that he will only commit to becoming their manager if he is given £200m to spend.

The report reads that the current Juventus manager has 'told the Gunners he needs cash guarantees as he plans to spend on five players to bring them up to speed.'

Allegri has analysed the squad, and believes that they need to strengthen significantly if they are to challenge for the Premier League.

The report reads that if Arsenal do agree to his demands, he 'could accept the job immediately.'

So, it's simple: If Allegri's ambition is matched, he will take the job.

That seems a win-win for Arsenal fans.

Not only would they get a world-class manager, but he would also be given the funds needed to challenge on multiple fronts.

It is clear that Arsenal's team still needs to be strengthened massively, and Allegri's ambition will be something that will be welcomed by fans.

PJANIC REVEALS ALLEGRI HASN'T REVEALED HIS PLANS

Miralem Pjanic has revealed that the Juventus players are also in the dark about Allegri's plans.

Pjanic said: “I don't know if Allegri will stay, you should ask him. I can only say that he is the manager that has improved us.

“Strange things can happen in football but Allegri is smart enough to understand what the best choice for his future is.

“I'd like him to stay because he has made me improve. He deserve the praise because he is one of the most winning managers in the history of Juve.
