Mohamed Salah can cap a remarkable season at the end of May when Liverpool take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final.Back when Liverpool paid £36.9 million to sign Salah last June, nobody could have predicted that he would have such a major impact at Anfield. Many casted their minds back to how the Egyptian fared at Chelsea, where he really struggled before joining Fiorentina on loan and eventually signing for Roma.Salah had shown in Italy that he was a better player than the one that arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2014 but still, even the most optimistic Liverpool fan couldn’t have foreseen the forward scoring 43 goals in all competitions. The 25-year-old beat Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne to the PFA Player of the Year award and on Sunday, he received yet another individual accolade.Salah was named Premier League Player of the Season, becoming the third Liverpool player to claim the award after Michael Owen and Luis Suarez. It’s fully deserved - 31 of Salah’s goals have come in the Premier League - and, remarkably, it’s the 19th individual award he’s won this season.

Lineker tweets

It seems that not a week goes by without the Egypt international receiving some piece of silverware.

Indeed, Gary Lineker’s tweet after Salah’s latest achievement reflects that thought.

“Mo Salah wins his 437th Player of the Season award,” the Match of the Day presenter tweeted.

It feels like it’s been that many, doesn’t it?

Salah, who can break the record for most goals scored in a 38-game season with a strike against Brighton on Sunday, expressed his delight at his latest gong.

“I'm very happy, it's an honour to win this award," he said.

"It was always in my mind to come back to the Premier League to show the people that say I didn't succeed here the first time."

His attitude is admirable.

Salah attributed his success to Jurgen Klopp’s guidance.

“He has helped me a lot to do what I'm doing now, on the field and off it, I have to thank him for everything he has done this year,” the forward continued.

"I really, really respect him a lot and I'm sure we are going to do something special for the club this year."
