Manchester United have rekindled their interest for Germany World Cup captain Philipp Lahm with Bayern Munich eyeing a swap deal, according to the Daily Mail.

Lahm impressed during the World Cup in South Africa, taking over as skipper from Chelsea’s Michael Ballack, and has seen his value rise since United were last interested in the right-back.

The German side are thought to have enquired about Holland’s Gregory van der Wiel and put Lahm’s future at the Champions League finalists in doubt.

The Bavarian side are also tracking United winger Park Ji-Sung and are thought to want the South Korean thrown into the Lahm deal.

Meanwhile Porto have reportedly offered Portuguese midfielder Raul Meireles, who could replace Park if Bayern do get their wish.

Chelsea have also shown an interest in the Portugal international but have yet to make a move for their man.
