Mohamed Salah capped off a quite superb Premier League season by notching his 32nd goal of the season in Liverpool's 4-0 win vs Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday. He won the Golden Boot in the process, while also breaking the record for the most goals scored in a 38-game Premier League season. He admitted after the game that it was 'special' to break the record."This is very special," he told Sky Sports."It's always in mind to help the team to win games, now we are in the Champions League next year and I have won the award, so I am very proud."It's always in mind to succeed in England, to give 100 per cent and succeed here. I have had a great season."I am trying to improve every year so I am very happy. I am improving every year. It's special to break the record here. And when asked whether he could recreate his performances next season, he added: "I will, don't worry. I will do my best to win it, 100 per cent."

PETER CROUCH'S TWEET ABOUT SALAH

While it was a good day for Salah, it was also a decent day for Peter Crouch.

Although Stoke's relegation from England's top tier had already been confirmed, Crouch scored the winner as his side battled back from 1-0 down to defeat Swansea 2-1.

The 37-year-old has become known for his hilarious Twitter account, and he added another quality tweet after the game today.

In reference to the Egyptian winger breaking the Premier League record for goals in a 38-game season, Crouch said: "Pleased to equal Salah's premier league record today. We both got one."

What a man Crouch is.

He was, of course, referring to the goals that they both scored on Sunday.

Crouch knows that he couldn't match Salah's goal record for the season, but it seems he was just proud to have equalled Salah's tally for the day.

You can always rely on him to come up with a quality tweet in almost any situation.

Fans usually find themselves in hysterics over his tweets and this one was no exception. In fact, this gem did even better than usual - he has wracked up 6,000 likes and 37,000 retweets at the time of writing.

Some think that James Milner is the funniest football on Twitter after sending numerous tweets since joining the platform earlier this year.

But this is further proof that he has a long way to go to eclipse Crouch as the Twitter king.

JURGEN KLOPP: SALAH WILL IMPROVE

Salah has been nothing short of sensational this season, but Jurgen Klopp warned that he can only improve in the future.

“He has played this season outstandingly, but he is young enough and has enough potential to improve," Klopp said.

“That's really good news for all of us and him as well. He still has work to do, and I am really happy about that. But what he is in his mind is a real goal-getter and that's cool. He wants to. I'll mix it up in a few moments and there'll be goals again.

“I have no idea of numbers now because obviously it's difficult to score that many goals otherwise other people would have done it already.

“I'm happy for him that he gets the Golden Boot. But it's very important that he has two weeks to prepare for our biggest game so far, that's for sure. It's a massive one.”
