Nick Diaz has finally cleared all his obstacles to return to the UFC for a high-profile fight.

Diaz, along with his brother Nate, are two of the biggest draws in the UFC today. The pair have been thrusted into the spotlight following Nate's big rivalry with Conor McGregor. The Stockton brothers are also Notorious for their trash talking ability.

In regards to Nick, he was a big star in the mixed martial arts (MMA) world first, and due in large part to his feud with former welterweight kingpin Georges St-Pierre.

GSP and Diaz had a rivalry several years ago that captivated the MMA world. It was at UFC 158 in 2013 that they finally got the opportunity to settle their differences. Diaz stepped into enemy territory, fighting Rush in his own backyard of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

St-Pierre successfully defended his 170-pound throne by defeating Diaz via unanimous decision in a rather lopsided affair.

Although the two were able to shake hands and show respect after their fight, the bad blood never went away.

Diaz, now seemingly ready to take a fight, recently spoke to TMZ Sports about his former match-up with the Canadian.

This comes on the heels of rumors that his brother could be in line for a shot at the former middleweight champion.

Nick went on to make some pretty bold claims about his fight with St-Pierre back in 2013. He said that he had his IV bag poisoned before the fight, as he slept for an unusual amount of time before the fight (quotes via Bloody Elbow):

“I think whoever tries to make that fight, I’m gonna have to give him a backhand slap,” the elder Diaz said.

“I fought the dude (St-Pierre), they poisoned my IV with some weird ass drug.

“I have 37 fights, been fighting for 17 years, I never slept more than five or six hours a night. (For that fight), I slept 14 hours, I’m like ‘what did you put in my IV, dude? I never had nothing but clear IV. And there was something wrong with his wraps.

“I was flat on the way out (and) I’m in the best shape of my life. Everything was strange.”

Nick was then asked who he wants to see his brother fight next, and only had this to say:

“Nick Diaz says who fights who.”
