With Backlash in the rearview mirror, all of the focus can finally shift towards the exciting Money in the Bank event with several superstars already confirming their spots in the ladder matches.

Based on the poster that’s been circulating, it looks as if we could be getting three ladder matches this year, with speculation suggesting that we could be seeing the first-ever tag team Money in the Bank ladder match when the event takes place in Chicago, Illinois next month.

MONEY IN THE BANK

With WWE heading to the UK this week for Monday Night RAW and SmackDown LIVE, it’s expected that the final four spots in the men’s Money in the Bank will be filled by stars from both brands, while only Ember Moon and Charlotte Flair have been announced for the women’s ladder match.

As of this writing, Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, Rusev and The Miz are the only participants that have been announced in what is shaping up to be a stacked ladder match with star-studded names and nobody in the match acting as the ‘filler.’

Last week, rumours had emerged that WWE could pull out with a major shock and have Big E of The New Day leave as Mr. Money in the Bank. The surprising thing about this is that despite not being announced for the match right now, Sky Bet currently has him listed as the second favourite to leave Chicago with a world title run all but guaranteed down the line.

Ringside News has shared the odds released by Sky Bet and right now, SmackDown’s The Miz is the strong favourite to leave with the briefcase and the contract at 11/8 with Big E at 9/4. Other surprising names include Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas at 12/1 while Elias is at 14/1 to leave as Mr. Money in the Bank.

FAVOURITE

Judging by the reaction ever since The Miz confirmed his spot in the match after beating Jeff Hardy in a qualifier last week, fans will be ecstatic that The Miz could leave as the winner as fans have been longing for him to have another run as the WWE Champion.

He’s been doing incredible work as the Intercontinental Champion, and a real push to the main event scene is long overdue. With Brock Lesnar holding up the Universal Championship picture on RAW, it makes complete sense to have him win it on SmackDown where the path is clearer to the gold.

The excitement doesn’t just revolve around the fact that The Miz could win, but the possibility of him eventually meeting Daniel Bryan with the WWE Championship and a cash-in thrown into the mix to create arguably the best feud in WWE.
