Earlier this morning (Mon. March 14, 2018) it was announced that Ronda Rousey will be competing at next month's WWE Money In The Bank (MITB) pay-per-view (PPV) event in Chicago, Illinois.

At the time we didn't know who would be The Rowdy One's dancing partner for the event - but now we do. Rousey is currently set to work the second half of WWE's European Tour against Micky James.

She'll be working several matches with James in several cities to get her ready for MITB next month. Here are the cities and dates Rousey will be working against the former WWE Women's Champ:

  • 5/16 in Geneva, Switzerland
  • 5/17 in Vienna, Austria
  • 5/18 in Turin, Italy
  • 5/19 in Paris, France

Initially it was speculated that Rousey's MITB opponent could be Mickie James, as not only is she working the European tour with her, but she has had some run-ins with James on RAW in the past few weeks.

James attacked Rousey's good friend and training partner Natalya. It makes all the sense in the world to give Rousey a slow build by feuding with James, so that she can eventually get to the spot they want her to be in come next year - the main event of WrestleMania 35.

It looks like that's not the case, as John Pollock of Post Wrestling is now reporting that Rousey is set to take on RAW Women's Champion Nia Jax at the MITB PPV. Since Jax is the RAW Women's Champion, it's hard not to believe that the title won't be on the line.

Jax and Rousey are currently in New York City for the NBCUniversal Upfronts, where they're promoting the Women's Revolution.

During that appearance, Jax challenged Rousey to a match at the upcoming MITB PPV event. Rousey got the opportunity to respond and accepted the challenge (quotes via Wrestling Inc.):

"We are very civil and professional ladies, so Nia did just challenge me for Money in the Bank to come after her title," Rousey told E! News while on the red carpet.

"I happily oblige respectfully, so I can sit next to her."

Jax then responded with:

"We can still get along for now, but once we get in the ring, it's over. All bets are off, right?"

Rousey then said that the pair are cordial with one another outside the ring, but that all bets are off when they're competing against each other inside the squared circle:

"We're professionals, so when we get in there, there's a job to be done," Rousey said. "When we're outside of the ring, then we can still be respectful to each other.

"We all have the same goals. We're all trying to lift the women's division and to show people that we have more to offer than they've given us credit for in the past."

John Pollock then confirmed on Twitter that this is WWE's way of setting up the match, and that it will in fact go down at MITB next month:

WWE later confirmed the bout themselves, noting it will indeed be for the RAW Women's Championship. This should be extremely interesting to see play out indeed.

What are your thoughts on WWE putting Rousey in a match against Jax at the MITB PPV? Do you think WWE will put the RAW Women's Championship on Rousey so soon? And how do you think Rousey will perform against Jax? Let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments section below!
