Roma enjoyed a memorable season after marching to the semi-finals of the Champions League and finishing third in Serie A.
They were responsible for quite possibly the most unexpected comeback in Champions League history after overcoming a three-goal deficit to shock Spanish superpower Barcelona.
Having been thumped 4-1 at the Camp Nou, the Romans were imperious in the return leg, scoring three unanswered goals to secure a semi-final spot on away goals.
Their remarkable European run ultimately ended in heartbreak when they were dumped out by Liverpool, but not before putting up an almighty fight as they eventually went down to the English side 7-6 on aggregate.
All this despite losing the goals and drive of Mohamed Salah after the Egyptian was sold to the above mentioned Liverpool in the summer.
Edin Dzeko has been on fire all season long, netting 24 times while assisting 6 times for the Italian giants.
While their on-field antics have won them a lot of fans this season, their social media team has also received a lot of plaudits for some truly fantastic work on Twitter.
Who can forget the Italian side mocking Harry Kane for his infamous goal claim by photoshopping his head onto the body of club legend Francesco Totti.
Or the indecipherably joyful Tweet that followed the scoring of their third goal against Barcelona.
However, their latest Tweet has left many people baffled after their English Twitter feed posted a picture of Damien Delaney of all people, with the caption #GrazieDamien.
Don’t scratch your eyes, you saw that right.
There is absolutely no discernable link between the Italians and Crystal Palace’s 36-year-old defender and with no explanation as to why Damien is being thanked, it remains truly, truly bizarre.
Hopefully, an explanation is soon to follow.
Roma’s main focus will now turn to keeping hold of some of their top talent, with the sharks already circling their best players with the summer window on the horizon.News Now - Sport News
