Arsene Wenger's 22-year reign at Arsenal has finally come to an end.It was announced back in April that 2017/18 would be his final season with the club, as fans seemingly got their wish after years of their 'Wenger Out' campaign.Nevertheless, years of criticism did not stop the Frenchman getting the send off he deserved, with fans from across the globe honouring one of football's true revolutionaries. For many, it will seem odd not seeing Wenger in the Arsenal dugout next season, with Mikel Arteta the favourite to replace him.Max Allegri appears to be remaining at Juventus, so the Gunners are set to take a huge risk with their former player. It's a huge gamble, but if it pays off, it'll be one of the Premier League's finest masterstrokes. With such a high-profile managerial departure, there was always going to be massive behind-the-scenes changes, but Arsenal players did not expect something that happened in the past few days.Late Monday night, trusted Arsenal source David Ornstein tweeted the news that the club had removed their head of medical services, Colin Lewin.Safe to say, it's not gone down well with the players.

Lewin had spent 23 years with the club and was a key part of the Wenger era, so you can understand why the players are 'stunned and upset'.

However, perhaps this was the kind of reshuffle needed after so many years of mediocrity at the club.

While the changes may seem drastic at first, a complete backroom overhaul and someone like Arteta stepping in could help galvanise the club.

The Telegraph also reported last night that Wenger's number two, Steve Bould, was also considering his future at the club.

Bould is said to be reluctant to work under a younger manager and is currently delaying his decision as to whether he remains at the club.
