What a season it's been for Phil Foden at Manchester City. From the moment Pep Guardiola waxed lyrical about his pre-season performance versus Manchester United, the young Englishman has been living the dream.Let's not forget his Golden Ball-winning showings in the under-17 World Cup back in October, either.Guardiola has stood by his praise of Foden this season, handing the midfielder 10 appearances despite the seemingly endless experience City have at their disposal. And across those cameos in the sky blue jersey, Foden has justified the hype around his progression with a series of brilliant showings.

Foden crowned Premier League winner

Nevertheless, it nearly wasn't enough for the 17-year-old to get his hands on a Premier League medal with football fans perplexed that Guardiola didn't bring him on for the final home game against Huddersfield Town.

The City boss later lamented: “I didn’t know it but, all respect, it looks ridiculous to me. All respect. If they want my medal I will give them medal."

In the end, though, Foden bagged the medal he deserved - coming on for the final eight minutes of City's dramatic 1-0 win over Southampton.

Man City's brilliant bus parade

It meant that not only could Foden enjoy the Premier League win in all its glory but really immerse himself in this week's bus parade to celebrate the title win.

The bus parade looked pretty fun, too, with the City players treating themselves to a few beers and Guardiola was even recorded chucking one of his lagers down to a roadside supporters.

Take a look at the clip below:

Bernardo Silva was even spotted necking his fair share of champagne for good measure.

Cracking stuff and after their season, who can blame them for cracking open a cold one?

Foden celebrated with a Vimto Slush

Even Foden got involved, kind of.

The 17-year-old did treat himself to a cold beverage during the bus parade but it came in form of a Vimto Slush. Potent stuff, indeed.

Manchester City's Instagram story saw the midfielder sipping away at the drink while his teammates indulged in a beer and football fans found it downright hilarious.

Check out the video and the reaction here:

He's just won the Premier League lads, surely he could grab one beer?

Of course, Foden is below the legal UK drinking age and when you're exact age is known to everybody and you're in the most public setting possible, it probably wouldn't have been wise.

Nevertheless, it still managed to amuse supporters that the young midfielder was old enough to win one of football's biggest prize but couldn't celebrate beyond a Vimto.

When you look at the performances he's been putting in at age 17, however, it's not difficult to imagine that Foden will able to celebrate other trophies a little more wildly in the future.

Either that or he just loves that grape, raspberry and blackcurrant combination!
