CM Punk is getting set to take part in the second mixed martial arts (MMA) fight of his career, and it's happening inside the UFC's Octagon.Punk announced his signing with the UFC back in 2014 after walking out on the WWE citing differences with management, and and announced he had signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC and would pursue a fighting career. He then joined the Roufussport gym which has trained athletes such as former UFC lightweight champion Anthony "Showtime" Pettis and current 170-pound champion Tyron Woodley. After two years of training, Punk made his debut on the main card of UFC 203 on pay-per-view (PPV) in Cleveland, Ohio. He took on welterweight prospect Mickey Gall in a fight that didn't get out of the first round.Punk was immediately taken down and battered via ground-and-pound, before being forced to tap out via rear-naked choke. Despite the loss, Punk expressed his desire to continue fighting. Now, Punk will fight Mike Jackson - an MMA reporter who actually fought Mickey Gall as well for the initial opportunity to welcome Punk into the cage. Jackson lasted less time inside the cage with Gall, losing his fight in under a minute.Punk lasted a little over two minutes in his fight with Gall. While some MMA fans are disgusted that a former professional wrestler has made his way onto the UFC's roster without having won an MMA fight yet, they also have a big issue with another part of Punk's fighting career. In his initial fight at UFC 203, Punk was featured on the main card of the event. This is an opportunity that some fighters have worked years for and sometimes don't even ever get to experience. Now, in his second fight even after losing, Punk will again be on the main card of UFC 205 from his hometown of Chicago, Illinois on June 9th next month.UFC legend Mark Coleman took to Twitter and noted that a lot of fans are in an uproar about this - and while he does understand the frustration, he also understands why it's being done. Punk is a draw and is a huge incentive for PPV buys:

Punk actually responded to Coleman's Tweet. He thanked him for the kind words and also noted that if it were up to him he'd be the first fight of the entire event on UFC Fight Pass:

What are your thoughts on Punk getting to fight on the main card of both of his MMA debut fights? Do you think that it makes sense for the UFC to use him as a PPV draw? And will the UFC cut him if he loses next month? Let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments section below!
