It's fast approaching a month since Arsene Wenger announced he's leaving Arsenal and a replacement for the Frenchman STILL hasn't been found.Arsenal fans are growing impatient and it would appear even the players want answers now that the 2017/18 Premier League season has concluded.Goalkeeper David Ospina, who could end up leaving the Gunners this summer anyway, said last week that he and his teammates don't like the uncertainty surrounding Wenger's successor."Footballers want clarity and obviously at the moment we don't know who's going to be coming in to take the reins," the Colombian told Sky Sports."There is a little bit of uncertainty there amongst the squad, however, we just hope the club does a really good job in terms of bringing the right person in to succeed Wenger."So who's in the running? Mikel Arteta remains the outright favourite and it seems like he has quite a lot of backing.Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is then second favourite followed by Brendan Rodgers, Carlo Ancelotti and Unai Emery, with the latter two currently without jobs.Arsenal legend and current New York City head coach Patrick Vieira is also in contention and according to Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol, he's been contacted by Arsenal about the job.But what's happened since that phone call is very awkward. Solhekol adds that Vieira actually feels "disappointed" about being contacted because he thinks it was just a "token gesture".

Strangely, Vieira thinks like he was called just out of courtesy and probably won't be in the running now.

Not that it'll matter to Ian Wright, who said on Match of the Day over the weekend that he wants to see Arteta take over at the Emirates Stadium.

"I quite like the feel of Mikel Arteta," he said. "You've got to take a chance on people. They took a chance on Wenger. He's someone that knows the club.

"He's been under Pep [Guardiola] for a number of years, seeing what he's been doing. I think the players need a kick up the backside and I think he may be the man to do it."
