There is no underestimating how good Eden Hazard has been for Chelsea.

The Belgian winger has been tremendous for the club since signing in 2012.

He has recorded 88 goals in 299 games in six highly successful seasons with the club, where he has been named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year on four occasions.

Despite not being named in the best XI this season, he is still clearly impressing his opponents in the Premier League.

Ander Herrera is just one name that has sung the Chelsea winger's praises, claiming that he’s still "the best player in the league."

HAZARD'S FUTURE REMAINS IN DOUBT

But Eden Hazard's future is still unclear.

The 27-year-old has been attracting attention from Real Madrid, sparking rumours that he could be leaving in the summer.

And those rumours have only escalated after it has been revealed that Hazard is stalling on signing a new contract, despite Chelsea being 'desperate' for him to commit his future.

It was previously unknown why Hazard has not extended his stay at the club, but now the former Lille player has answered those questions.

The Belgian winger has announced that this is a massive period in his career and that he is waiting to see who the club signs before signing a new deal.

“That’s why I’m taking my time," he said. "It is something big, so I will need to think of a lot of things. But one thing is for sure, I’m happy here.

“I’m waiting for new players next season. You know. We'll see. I want good players because I want to win next season the Premier League. Yeah, a lot of things, then we will see.

“Trophies are important. Premier League, Europa League, Champions League. It’s more important for me as I’ve never won this one [the FA Cup]. I need two more trophies – the Champions League and FA Cup.”

It's going to be a massive summer for Chelsea.

By the sounds of things, Hazard will commit his future if the signings Chelsea make are of the standard he expects.

But, if Hazard isn't impressed with the team's acquisitions, his career in west London could well be coming to an end.

No pressure, Chelsea...

HAZARD REFLECTS ON THE SEASON

Hazard also admitted that the season had not been good for Antonio Conte's side, although he did promise that the club will give everything in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

“It’s always hard after when you win the League, we saw it two years ago,” he added. “This season was not good, but, you know, this is Chelsea. You never know what’s happening for the season.

“We are Chelsea and we need a trophy at the end of the season, and at the moment we are nothing. We are not qualified for the Champions League next season, so this season has been bad, so now we can save a little bit this season, with this trophy. We will give everything.”
