The best thing about the Money in the Bank pay-per-view being around one month away is that the WWE has plenty of time to hype up what is already shaping up to be an exciting card in Chicago.
AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura will go at it again for the WWE Championship, Ronda Rousey gets her first RAW Women’s title match as she battles Nia Jax and we can’t forget the two Money in the Bank ladder matches that have been announced too, with several women yet to qualify for their contest.
MONEY IN THE BANK
The male line-up is almost confirmed now. Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, The Miz, Rusev, Bobby Roode and Kevin Owens have guaranteed spots and will look to capture the briefcase for the first time in their careers.
One member of the New Day will also be in the match after they defeated The Bar on SmackDown LIVE this week, with rumours suggesting not only will Big E enter the match, but he could emerge as the shock winner.
The final spot is going to go to either Samoa Joe or Big Cass, with the former also the favourite to book his place in the ladder match, especially since there’s speculated heat on Big Cass.
Overall, that’s quite a stellar line-up and fans probably wouldn’t complain about whoever leaves with the briefcase. However, there is one thing that has angered WWE fans online when WWE was in the UK for Monday Night RAW and SmackDown during their European tour.
EL IDOLO
After weeks of build-up, Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas finally made his highly anticipated debut on SmackDown this week, but a couple of things seemed to rub fans the wrong way.
The first was that the debut fell flat. Despite the strong promo from Zelina Vega, defeating Jake Constantino in a squash match wasn’t enough to excite the fans, and they’ve been left frustrated that WWE didn’t push Almas right off the bat by having him advance to the Money in the Bank ladder match.
There had been strong rumours that WWE wanted to give the 28-year-old a significant push on the blue brand by having him engage in feuds with the huge names, before eventually giving him a big face turn where he can finally become that big Latin America star the WWE desperately wants and needs to replace Rey Mysterio.
However, judging by the reactions from fans on social media, they’re disappointed that WWE didn’t take the plunge and have Almas debut in the best way possible.
