Gareth Southgate officially named his 23-man squad on Wednesday for the upcoming World Cup finals in Russia.
As expected, Jack Wilshere and Joe Hart will not be on the plane.
Nick Pope has been rewarded with a terrific debut season in the Premier League as he takes Hart’s position, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek is preferred to Wilshere.
Trent Alexander-Arnold makes the team, but will likely be the third choice right-back behind Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier.
There were rumours that Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey was going to be a shock inclusion, although those reports have been proven to be false.

ENGLAND FANS FURIOUS ONE PLAYER HAS MADE IT
Southgate’s squad was always going to divide opinion.
But he has included one player that has baffled England fans.
Danny Welbeck made the squad, despite not being a regular for Arsenal this season.
Even when he has played, he has flattered to deceive on numerous occasions.
He has a good International record, having noticed 15 goals in 37 appearances, but many believe he doesn’t deserve to be in the squad on merit.
And many made their feelings known on Twitter.
GARETH SOUTHGATE EXPLAINS HART OMISSION
Hart was expected to be called up after Southgate claimed in Match that he would be going to the World Cup.
However, Southgate performed a U-turn and left him at home.
The 47-year-old has now explained why he was excluded, claiming he did not deserve to be in the 23-man squad on merit.
"With Joe, we’ve got three other goalkeepers who have had very good seasons and the decision I was faced with was do I keep Joe in and have experience around the group?“ he explained.
“Or give the three guys who have basically had a better season a chance? We felt the players all needed to be in on merit after their performances this season.”
