Atletico Madrid's season finished on an incredibly high note in Lyon on Wednesday night. After assuring a second-place La Liga finish, ahead of city rivals Real Madrid, Diego Simeone's side outclassed Marseille in their own country, winning 3-0 to claim the Europa League crown for a third time.Simeone has been the mastermind behind that trio of victories and this was his side's most dominant display yet.Antoine Griezmann returned to the city where he was born to claim a brilliant brace, with Gabi scoring late on to seal the victory. The game had a lot of significance for Fernando Torres as well, allowing El Nino to lift his first trophy with the club in his final season.Griezmann also picked up the first major honour of his career, while Gabi was "forced to eat his own words" after previously stating that the Europa League was a "piece of s**t".And it seems Juanfran caused a bit of a ruckus after the victory, with the experienced Spanish right-back taking the microphone and having a good ol' swipe at Real Madrid.

"Let the Vikings (Madridistas) know who is boss in the city," he sung.

Now, while there victory was certainly one to celebrate and they have finished above Los Blancos in La Liga, that little chant was always going to receive some criticism.

Why? Just the small matter of Real taking part in their third successive Champions League final on May 26.

Not to mention, Juanfran actually missed the crucial penalty in Atletico's final loss to Real in 2016.

REAL MADRID FANS REACT

You can't blame them for responding to be honest.

Juanfran also spoke to the Spanish media after the game and stated that he believed Griezmann would remain at Atleti after the summer transfer window.

The French superstar has been heavily linked with a €100m move to Barcelona, but Juanfran believes he will remain at the Wanda Metropolitano.

'Se Queda' part two anyone?
