Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has played down the prospect of further new faces arriving at Old Trafford this summer and insists he is happy with the players at his disposal going into the new season.
Ferguson has made only two additions to his squad with defender Chris Smalling arriving from Fulham and striker Javier Hernandez joining from Chivas Guadalajara.
United, as usual at this time of year, continue to be linked with a number of players but Ferguson admitted he happy with his lot while refusing to be drawn into a debate about Manchester City's spending power.
"I cannot speak about other clubs. We are comfortable with the squad we have got," Ferguson said. "We bought players at the right time of the season and we are happy with what we have."
Ferguson has been impressed with the performance of his players on their current North American tour, which has seen the squad training in high heat and humidity.
He said: "We are doing double sessions at 9.50am and 5.30pm and that helps us get a little rest after lunchtime.
"The conditions haven't stopped us - they have been really good. The players have been great. They have shown some good application, good concentration and put in some really good work.
"It is now we are beginning to see the benefits of our training. The tempo is at the level we expect of our players."
Nani is ready to return for United after making a swift return from a dislocated collarbone. The Portugal winger was ruled out of the World Cup after suffering the injury before the first game in South Africa.
It looked as though he would miss United's tour but he joined the group at their training camp in Chicago last week. He is now hoping to get a run-out against Philadelphia Union on Wednesday.
Nani said: "I just started training with the team three days ago. I am feeling good now. I can feel my fitness beginning to build up and I am hoping to play a little bit this week."
