Getting on the wrong side of Vince McMahon just spells trouble, and Big Cass seems to be learning that the hard way shortly after arriving on SmackDown LIVE.

With the eccentric Enzo Amore no longer bouncing around him, a move to the blue brand was looked at as somewhat of a reset for the giant to make a serious impact as a singles star. Combine this with being a top heel and having his first feud against a popular star like Daniel Bryan, then the sky really was the limit for Big Cass.

HEAT

However, one bad decision on his part might have put his immediate push in serious jeopardy.

As reported earlier this week, Big Cass decided to lay a beat down on the ‘little person’ that impersonated Bryan during a segment heading into Backlash. The original plan was for him to conclude the segment with a big boot, but Cass asked producers if he could follow-up with a beatdown - an idea that was rejected.

He then sought out Vince with the same request. Vince also rejected the idea, but Cass went ahead with it, which is why Cass perhaps submitted instantly against Bryan at Backlash while he failed to appear on the following episode of SmackDown.

However, that apparently wasn’t enough as Vince seems to be continuing Cass’ punishment on SmackDown.

PUNISHMENT

Although he has a Money in the Bank qualifying match coming up against Samoa Joe, it looks highly unlikely that Cass will enter the ladder match based on his actions, along with the fact that he was punished earlier this week during one SmackDown segment, per Rajah.

After deliberately going against Vince’s orders, the decision was made to have Bryan bury Cass in the middle of the ring. Despite being the smaller man, Bryan got in the majority of the offence by destroying Cass’ knee, leaving him tangled up in the ropes which isn’t what you’d expect from the storyline.

However, the source has also added that despite the backstage heat on Big Cass, as well as the punishment, he is expected to be pushed again at some point at Vince has a short memory when it comes to things like this.
