For many NFL fans, one of the most exciting things about the preseason is watching Hard Knocks as they get to see the inner workings behind a team's training camp in preparation for the new season.

Yesterday, it was announced that this year, Hard Knocks will be filming the Cleveland Browns' preparations for the 2018 season, which should be very exciting as we witness how the team will respond from their embarrassing 2017 season where they went 0-16.

Close eyes will be kept on head coach Hue Jackson and his new offensive coordinator Todd Haley as they look to bounce the team back from their horrible 2017, especially with how they handle and progress rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield towards becoming their eventual starter.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com, Mayfield said during an appearance on SiriusXM NFL it will be good for the Browns to have the extra attention this preseason that comes from being featured on Hard Knocks so long as they are able to handle it right.

He said: "For me looking at it, and us as a team, I'd say it can be good if you handle it right. I'll just say that. If you think about it as a way to get on camera and try to show off and do certain things and handle it the wrong way then that can be very negative, it can be a distraction.

"But if you use it as a sense of, 'OK, I got to block out everything else and just focus on playing ball,' then that can be a great thing for us."

Overall, Mayfield is very much looking forward to having the Hard Knocks crew film their training camp and preseason, as it will put the team under pressure to make sure that they don't repeat their humiliating 0-16 2017 season.

He said: "Hard Knocks wouldn’t be there if we weren't 0-16 last year. So we're working towards never having to have that situation again. I'm looking forward to being a start of something new there in Cleveland."

The first episode of 2018 Hard Knocks is expected to air on August 7.
