Chelsea's underwhelming season could end on a positive note on Saturday when they face Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

The Blues crashed out of the Champions League in the last 16, and could not seal their qualification into next season's edition after finishing fifth in the Premier League.

But they still have the opportunity to end a disappointing season with silverware.

Antonio Conte insisted in his pre-match press conference that the team is 'focused' on lifting the trophy for the eighth time.

"We must be focused on Saturday and for us it is very important and we want to finish with a trophy and it is important for the coach, players, fans and the club," he said. "We are focused on this target."

ATTENTION SWITCHING TO TRANSFER WINDOW

The transfer window officially opened on Thursday and you can expect Chelsea to play a major part.

Roman Abramovich would no doubt have viewed this season as a failure, and he will be doing everything in his power to strengthen his squad.

However, the Blues will have to sell to get all the players they want, and it has been reported that they will let one of their high profiles names go in order to do so.

According to the Mirror, The Blues are open to cashing in on Alvaro Morata after a difficult first season at Chelsea.

The Spanish international struggled to adapt to life in England, but still managed 15 goals in 47 games.

Nevertheless, it is believed they still want to get rid of him to fund their own transfer plans.

And two teams are interested in the 25-year-old.

Borussia Dortmund initially wanted to take Michy Batshuayi on a permanent deal after his successful loan spell, but Chelsea insisted they wanted him to stay.

Instead, Chelsea pointed them in the direction of Morata, and it is thought that Dortmund are willing to buy the Spain international outright.

The German side sold Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal for £60 million in January, and therefore possess the money needed to replace him.

Juventus are also interested in Morata, although they are more keen on a loan deal rather than a permanent transfer.

It seems that Morata's brief spell at Chelsea may be coming to an end.
