Ronda Rousey is getting set to make a huge step in her professional wrestling career.

It was announced that Rousey will challenge RAW Women's Champion Nia Jax for her title at the Money In The Bank (MITB) pay-per-view (PPV). This will not only be Rousey's first singles match on WWE TV, but her first shot at a title on WWE TV.

Rousey made her professional wrestling debut at WrestleMania 34 this past April in New Orleans. She teamed up with WWE Hall Of Famer and RAW General Manager Kurt Angle to defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in Mixed Tag Team action.

The ex-UFC women's bantamweight champion has since been making sporadic appearances on WWE TV.

On an episode of Monday Night RAW recently she came to the aid of Natalya, who was being assaulted by Mickie James.

She was scheduled to wrestle a series of singles matches against James during WWE's European Tour, however, plans were changed and she was instead involved in multi-man tag matches.

Cageside Seats is reporting that the reason WWE is doing this is because they don't want to put too much pressure on Rousey. Instead, she was paired up with Natalya and Ember Moon to do tag team work.

Rousey has done some pretty good things inside the ring during her showing at WrestleMania.

She blew fans' expectations out of the water with her performance in New Orleans, even getting in some shots against Triple H and hoisting him up on her shoulders.

It should be interesting to see how Rousey is used on Monday Night RAW ahead of her title match against Jax.

Also, it should be interesting to see how her match against Jax goes at the MITB PPV and if WWE will put the RAW Women's Title on her.

It's expected that she could be the first woman in WWE history to actually main event a WrestleMania, but whether or not that happens at WrestleMania 35 next year remains unclear.

What are your thoughts on WWE pulling Rousey from her singles matches on the European Tour and putting her in tag matches instead? Do you think Rousey should be getting in some singles experience before she takes on Jax? And what are your expectations for Rousey at MITB? Let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments section below!
