Although WWE's creative team may be attempting to shape them as being at odds on WWE TV, Roman Reigns and Vince McMahon work extremely close with one another backstage.

Reigns is poised to be the next big thing the company has to offer, following in the footsteps of those such as John Cena and Hulk Hogan.

Of course, that being the case, The Big Dog has to work extremely closely with McMahon on a day-to-day basis.

Recently, Reigns and McMahon had an angle in which he was infuriated with the WWE boss for not punishing Brock Lesnar before their WrestleMania 34 match.

He also didn't appreciate the special treatment The Beast had been receiving.

At WrestleMania 34 many expected Reigns to take his place atop the WWE mountain by defeating Lesnar for the strap, but in the end The Beast retained his title by hitting Reigns with a sixth and final F5.

Now Reigns is back on Monday Night RAW and is once again chasing a shot at the Universal Champion.

He is dubbing himself the "uncrowned Universal Champion" due to the circumstances that took place at he and Lesnar's Steel Cage match at the Greatest Royal Rumble.

The Big Dog recently did an interview with Express to talk about several professional wrestling topics, and touched on his relationship with Vince McMahon.

In regards to if Vince McMahon has ever wronged him in his WWE career, Reigns denied that claim and had nothing but nice things to say about the McMahon family (quotes via Ringside News):

"All the McMahons are great people and if you know them you get to talk to them on that level. It’s very easy to see them, they’re very personal and that’s key – you have to build a relationship.

"It’s not just with the McMahons, it’s everybody. It’s just about getting to know people and a lot of people getting to know you.

"I can’t say Vince has ever done me wrong.

"Regardless of all the fantasy bookers out there, at the end of the day life’s been pretty good for me in the wrestling business so I have to attribute a lot of that to the relationship that I do have with Vince and the way that he has always taken care of me. He takes care of all of us.

"To have that responsibility and that role is not easy – to be a provider and a protector and that’s what he is. I think along with everybody else, I can say that we are all very grateful."
