A top four Premier League club has joined the race to sign West Ham target Loic Remy, according to Skysports.com.
The Hammers have made a series of offers for the Nice forward but, despite meeting the French side’s valuation, are in dispute over the payment method.
Liverpool were thought to have stolen a march on the East Londoners last week when it was rumoured they were willing to give Roy Hodgson the £12 million Nice want up front.
However, with the signing of Joe Cole, the Merseysiders will need to sell in order to move for Remy.
Now, the player’s agent has revealed that a top Premier League team have been in touch to confirm their interest.
Frederic Guerra said: “A major club from the Premier League have contacted me about Loic.
“I have a meeting with the club tomorrow [Wednesday] and we will see what happens.
"Whatever happens Loic will be leaving Nice this summer and he has his heart set on England,” he added.
It now looks certain Remy will end up playing in the Premier League this season but where still remains to be seen.
He has already gone on record declaring his desire to play for West Ham, Arsenal and Liverpool – and he will be hoping the Gunners are the new team to have enquired about his services.
